Dallas, Texas native Bobby Patterson is a blues musician who has been immersed in all aspects of blues music since the 1960s. As a producer, promoter, label owner and singer/songwriter, he has built his own modest empire. With the help of Abnak Records' soul division, Jetstar Records, he got his start in entertainment and released a string of regional hits, including "Let Them Talk" and "I'm Leroy, I'll Take Her." Though the label folded, he had learned the tricks and trades of record production and went on to champion the work of other artists. With his own imprint, Proud Records, he continues to foster blues, soul and R&B communities while also releasing his own material, such as 1996's Second Coming.
