The cosmos must have been aligned above Portland, Oregon at the start of the millennium because the sonic star child that was birthed from this time and place is unlike most of the other drivel-inducing bands out there. The band's name is Blitzen Trapper and it plays a uniquely soothing form of folk rock that's unintimidating and well-suited to be heard in nearly every social environment. The band's acoustic guitars and harmonica bellows blend well with lead singer Eric Earley's raspy croon and the result is an extremely enticing sound that begs for repeated listens.

Since 2001, John Legend has been making passionate neo-soul love to America. His status as an R&B musician is colored by his past experience as a management consultant, where he multi-tasked to both promote and create his demo. Artist Kanye West pulled a few strings on his behalf and Legend started collaborating with several up and coming artists until the start of his solo career. Success still seems to follow the business-minded artist, whose fan base has been growing ever since.

After expanding into a quartet, the band released its 2010 demo Constant Headache. Mixing indie, alternative rock and punk influences, Joyce Manor creates short, quick-fire songs with catchy guitar. The bandy's eponymous debut album was released in 2011 followed by its sophomore effort, Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired, in 2012.

A few years after the Eagles formed in 1971 in Los Angeles, the group arrived at a characteristic soft rock sound that would come to define the band and its successful career in the 1970s and 1980s. The group's brand of sun bleached soft rock, with infectious harmonies and doleful ditties made the Eagles quite famous and though the group broke up in 1980, it got back together in 1994 and ever since the Eagles have been regaling fans with renditions of their well known radio friendly tunes.

Ben Roy brings his intense, high-energy comedy to Scottsdale. The heavily tattooed comic has been making waves with hard-hitting stories about his own life, which includes a stint as the frontman for hardcore band Thousand Year Suffering, panic attacks, a serious drinking problem and fatherhood. As a member of comedy trio The Grawlix, Roy created and starred in the Amazon pilot "Those Who Can't". He's also performed at Montreal's famous Just For Laughs comedy festival, and "LaughSpin" called his album "I Got Demons" one of the best comedy albums of 2012.
