Widely known as Bam Margera, Brandon Cole Margera is a professional skateboarder, television personality and actor who rose to fame as part of MTV's Jackass television show. After releasing the CKY video series, which documents him and his friends skating and performing various stunts, he caught the attention of television producer Jeff Tremaine and was recruited to join the team that would eventually become the driving force ofJackass. The notorious and often crude show aired in 2000 and immediately captured an audience by featuring dangerous, self-injuring stunts performed by Margera, Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and other members of the CKY Crew. The show spawned various films, starting with 2002'sJackass: The Movie, long after the series stopped airing. Margera also earned his own series, titled Viva La Bam, in 2003, offering the same type of shock-comedy missions. He founded his own music label Filthy Note Records, in 2005, and plays music with groups including the parody band Gnarkill.
