Al Stewart is a Scottish folk-rock singer-songwriter that rose to fame during Britain's folk revival during the 60s and 70s. Stewart's musical persona reminds one of a traveling bard from times of yore, as much of his songs deal with great figures and historical events set to folk-rock music. Despite being best known for his hit 1976 single "Year of the Cat," Al Stewart is almost universally considered as one of, if not the, key figure in the development of British folk-rock.
This is a ten-week long event where one can stroll through artists' work stations and shop for just the right piece. It is held daily at the border of Phoenix and Scottsdale, on Scottsdale Road at Jomax Road.
Successful Long Island businessman Joe Benjamin is a God-fearing man with a high-maintenance woman for a wife, ungrateful brats for children and wisecracking household help. He may think his life has reached an all-time low. He'd be wrong. A visit from a messenger of God (and big-time film buff) who goes by the name of Sidney Lipton has just made Joe's life a great deal more difficult -- because Sidney's job is to test Joe's faith in all-new ways and report back to "the Boss." A reimagining of the Book of Job, "God's Favorite" was penned by Neil Simon ("Barefoot in the Park, The Odd Couple"). Now's your chance to see it onstage at the Don Bluth Front Row Theatre.
