The John Mahoney Big Band specializes in original compositions and arrangements demonstrating the highest levels of performance and improvisational skill. The band has performed widely in New Orleans, including the Contemporary Arts Centers and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. NOMA & The NOLA Project present Twelfth Night In December, NOMA's iconic Great Hall will be transformed by The NOLA Project into the strange country of Illyria where two shipwrecked twins must find their way back to one another. This classic Shakespeare comedy Twelfth Night will become an immersive feast for the senses as action takes place in front of, above, behind, and all around the audience seated in the striking and impressive marble architecture. The Great Hall, with its own continually changing displayed artwork, and Shakespeare's iconic characters and verse will allow audiences to experience both the visual and performing arts simultaneously in ways that offer unique and delightful commentary on one another.
