Visiting Greenville Chautauqua is a chance to let history come back to life. In essence, it is an interactive history theater. Also known as Greenville Woman's Club, Fountain Fox Beattie House is an Italianate-style house and was built in 1834 by Mr. and Mrs. Fountain Fox Beattie. Fountain Fox Beattie built it for his bride, Emily Edgeworth . The historic house is located in Greenville, South Carolina and was registered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Originally much smaller, Fountain Fox Beattie House was later enlarged. It was moved from its original location at East North Street to 8 Bennett Street in 1983 owing to the widening of the Church Street and is presently used by the Greenville Woman's Club.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Beattie House is the second oldest residence in Greenville County. Built in 1834, this Georgian-style mansion has a lot to offer in terms of providing beautiful event spaces to visitors. Although owned by the city of Greenville, the property has been leased to the Greenville Woman's Club since 1949.
