    »Flowertown Players

    Established in 1976, this group of thespians perform in a former movie theater built in 1935. Located across the street from Azalea Park, the 209-seat theater is named after one of its founders and is listed on the National Register of Historic Districts. Four productions from musicals to serious dramas are offered during the season from August to May, plus a few children's plays that are written and produced by the children's workshops. The ticket office is open Wednesday through Sat, 12p to 6p and one hour before performances. Season memberships are also available. Fancy dress affairs, Meet the Cast receptions, premiere parties and fundraising events are held here as well.
